I recently sponsored a fun day for the children in the local community to Waterville USA in Gulf Shores. I would like to give a special thanks to everyone who entrusted me with the care of their children. Thanks to all the support I had prior to going, the trip was a success and the kids all had a great time. The obstacles that seemed placed in my path were at times insurmountable, but God placed this seed in my heart and I knew though him they would be overcome.
My ultimate goal, from which this trip was the first step, is an outreach program for our area youth. I have been in the same situation that many of these children face, and I know where, without the proper guidance, they could be headed. I would like to show these children that there are people who do care about them and that have a direct interest in their well being. I feel that given the chance I can help make a difference for them.
Please help me make this outreach program a success. If there is anyone who would be interested in helping me with this endeavor, please feel free to contact me. Any ideas, suggestions or information on obtaining financial help through grants or other programs would be appreciated. I would also like to take this opportunity again to thank those who helped me with fundraisers and donations so that the kids could have a summer splash. You are too numerous to name, but know that I hold a special place in my heart for you and so do the children.
By the way, the winner of the free pedicure/manicure that was given as a price during a fundraiser was Rontell Collins.
I am determined to make this week and I feel spiritually led by God to do this. In my heart I know that as long as He is on my side this fledgling program will thrive.
