Mr. James Wilson Reed Jr., 74, died Monday, June 18, 2007, in Bay Minette. He was a native of Prichard and was retired from Smurfit Stone as a millwright. He was a member of the U.S, Marine Corps and a member of Alco Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Reed Sr. and Ida Margaret Lyle Reed; and his brother, Donald Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Exie Lou Reed of Bay Minette; four sons, James B. (Robin) Coker, Michael S. (Nina) Coker and James D. (Marie) Reed, all of Bay Minette, and William H. (Pam) Coker of Sylacauga; a daughter, Pamela Reed (Terry) Byers of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; special family and a special friend, Robert G. Rodebaugh Jr. of Philadelphia, Penn.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. George Fisher officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Holiness Cemetery in Castleberry, with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
