East Brewton City Councilmen agreed to accept a bid for the building of four new tennis courts from American Tennis Courts, Inc. The company, based in Mobile, was awarded the bid at a cost of $105,753.
Clark said barring any weather complications, the company should be able to complete construction of the facility within two months.
The courts will be situated in the R.T. Johnson Park, which is located at the foot of Williamson Street in East Brewton. The park is the current home to Little League baseball fields and other recreational facilities.
Clark said priority for use of the courts would be given to the school with public use available when not being used by students.
