Mr. Onvar Grey Sheehan, 87, of Sheehan Lane, died Friday, June 28, 2007, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Thomasville and a longtime resident of Brewton. He was a retired machinist with Whiting Field and a member of Ridge Road Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and was preceded in death by his sons, Dennis and Jimmy Sheehan; and three sisters, Zella Nichols, Mary Still and Belle Etheridge.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Catherine Thomson Sheehan of Brewton; two daughters, Barbara (Jim) Blosser and Kay (Billy Wayne) Blackwell, both of Brewton; four grandchildren, Heath (Janet) Blackwell, Kelly Devore, and Timothy Blosser, all of Brewton, and Dennis (Paula) Blosser of Repton; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Ridge Road Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 1, at 3 p.m. at Ridge Road Baptist Church with Brother Lee Cadenhead and Brother Bob Eisenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Still Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Heath Blackwell, Blake Blackwell, Brant Blackwell, Billy Wayne Blackwell, Dennis Blosser, Timmy Blosser, Brandon Wiggins and Caylop Minchew.
