Mrs. Lillie Eunice Lewis, 93, died Monday, June 25, 2007, in Brewton. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Brewton area. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Manuel Lane Sr. and Eddie Lewis Sr.; her siblings, Willie Lovelace, Bruce Lovelace, Charlie Lovelace, L.D. Lovelace, Robert Lovelace Sr. and Carrie McConnico; children, Lawrence Lane, Elizabeth Hall, Booker T. Lane, Pearl Fountain, Manuel Lane Jr., Coreen Stallworth, and Lillie May Williams; several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Juanita (Dean) Shulet of Louisiana, Dorothy (James) Gafford of Alabama, Christine Johnson and Mamie (William) Grady, both of California; a sister, Classie Hall of Pensacola, Fla., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at First Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ruel Floyd officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
