A second member from this past season's Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks basketball team is headed to the four-year level.
Thomas Tunberg, a 6-7 forward from Fort Walton Beach, Fla., has signed with National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics member Belhaven College.
Tunberg averaged 3.81 points and 2.1 rebounds a game. Tunberg shot 38 percent from the floor (32-for-84) and 59 percent from the free throw line (13-for-22).
Tunberg joins a Belhaven program that went 15-19 this past season.
Tunberg is not the first JDCC player to sign with Belhaven, which is located in Jackson, Miss., over the years. Former JDCC players Ahmad Moore and Scott Pughsley have also played at Belhaven.
Earlier this summer Tunberg's JDCC teammate, DaWaun Johnson, signed with Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
