The East Escambia Chapter of the American Red Cross plans to hold more fundraisers this year to add to dwindling coffers.
The Red Cross chapter held its annual board of directors meeting Tuesday at the Agriculture Science Building located behind Southern Pine.
Chapter Manager Rogene Martin agreed.
Martin said there were over 22,000 people who came through the office. Some were helped while others were referred to other organizations.
During the meeting, the board also voted on new board members and recognize those board members who are retiring. Judy Champion, Chris Griffin, Sara Nall and Mattie Robinson are the new members, while Gary Robinson, Mary Stallworth and Lawrence Weaver were retired.
