State game times set for Brewton 13s, 14s
The game schedules have been announced for the Brewton Babe Ruth 13 and 14-year-old All-Stars at their respective upcoming state tournaments
The 13s will play their state tournament at Huntsville's Sandhurst Park.
The tournament consists of 10 teams and play will be broken into two five-team pools. Each participant is guaranteed four games.
Brewton's games will be July 18 at 5 p.m., July 19 at 12 noon and 6:30 p.m. and July 20 at 6:30 p.m.
The top two teams from each pool will advance to the finals on July 22. The pool champions will play the runner-ups from the opposite pool in the semifinals at 1 p.m. The championship game will follow at 4 p.m.
The names of the teams in the tournament have not been announced although Brewton has been placed in a pool that includes tournament host South Huntsville.
The 14s will play their state tournament at Sylacauga.
The tournament for the 14s also consists of 10 teams and is being broken into two five-team pools.
Brewton's games will be July 18 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. and July 20 at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The top two teams from each pool will advance to the finals on July 22. The pool champion will play the runner-up from the opposite pool in semifinal games at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. The championship game is slated for 7 p.m.
The names of the participating teams have not been announced other than tournament host Sylacauga, which competes in the pool opposite of Brewton.
