Junior Miss

Thirteen young women will take the stage Saturday, Aug. 4, at 7 p.m. in their quest for the title of Escambia County's Junior Miss for 2008.
The scholarship program will be held in the Woodfin-Patterson Auditorium on the campus of Jefferson Davis Community College in Brewton.
Hard work and dedication have gotten the young women to the competition set for this weekend according to Kathy McKinley, co-chairman of the Escambia County Junior Miss orgaization.
McKinley said nine scholarships will be awarded to the contestants. Serving as mistress of ceremonies will be Jennifer Abney of WKRG 5 News. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from any Junior Miss contestants or at the door.
