Mrs. Dorothy Louise Kirkland, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, in a local hospital. She was a native of Mississippi but had been a resident of Brewton for most of her life. She had worked as a seamstress at Judy Bond for a number of years and was a member of Catawba Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold &#8220Kirk” Kirkland; and a grandson, Ronnie Evans Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Evans of Brewton.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at Catawba Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Bert Bounds officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
