T.R. Miller just barely missed the top 10 in the preseason high school football polls, but the Tigers and W.S. Neal Eagles will face 4A teams ranked in the top 10.
Thomasville is No. 2 in the preseason Alabama Sportswriters Association poll, and the school received two No. 1 votes in the poll.
Neal plays Thomasville Sept. 21, while Miller plays Thomasville Oct. 5.
Miller will also play No. 9 Trinity on No. 2.
The entire preseason top 10 for Class 4A includes:
No. 1 Guntersville
No. 2 Thomasville
No. 3 Andalusia
No. 4 North Jackson
No. 5 Brooks
No. 6 Alexandria
No. 7 East Limestone
No. 8 Central-Tuscaloosa
No. 9 Trinity
No. 10 Deshler
This is the first year in several years that T.R. Miller did not rank in the top 10, but the Tigers were just 2 points from cracking the top tier.
