Brewton Police are stumped in their investigation of a shooting that occurred Thursday night in the Sowell Road area.
Brewton police officers responded to a call concerning a shooting at 5:26 p.m. at 920 Sowell Road. When police arrived they found Ron M. Reed had been shot in the leg by what he described as a drive-by shooting.
Police have no suspects in the case at this time, McGougin said.
McGougin said the victim was treated at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital and released a short time later.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
