Search nets arrest

Police arrested a Brewton man on drug charges Thursday after executing a search warrant at his home.
Police arrested Jeremy Montrell Elliot of 40774 U.S. 31 North, Lot S. The residence is located in what is also known as Blueberry Hill Mobile Home Park.
The 26-year-old black male was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of crack cocaine, unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Agents with the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force along with members of the Special Response Team of the Brewton Police Department executed the search warrant where they recovered crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, scales and a .38 caliber handgun.
Elliot was taken to the Escambia County Detention Center. Bond information was unavailable Tuesday.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is comprised of the Escambia County Sheriff's Department, Atmore East Brewton, Brewton, and Flomaton police departments, Escambia County District Attorney's Office, Poarch Police Department and the Escambia County Commission.
