Mr. Edward L. Mize, 81, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the Flomaton community and retired from St. Regis Paper Company as a machine operator. He was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eula Ree Mize of Flomaton; two sons, Ronnie (Marilyn) Mize of Brewton, and Joe (Andra) Mize of Flomaton; a brother, Odell Mize of Port St. Joe, Fla.; two sisters, Mildred Kelly of Cantonment, Fla., and Mary Corbitt of Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Richard Steele, Mariann Travis, Elizabeth Hart, Matthew Mize, Rebekah Fore, Amy Mize, Jonathan Mize and Samuel Mize; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Hogg officiating. Burial followed at Mize Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were grandsons.
