Mr. John Howard &#8220Penny Boy” Madison, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and longtime resident of Escambia County, Ala. He was retired United States Air Force with 22 and one-half years of service. He owned and operated Appliance Service Center in East Brewton and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Sheryl Madison (Kevin) McDowell of Suwannee, Ga.; a sister, Peggy Madison of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Zachary McDowell and Madison McDowell.
Graveside funeral services with full military honors were held Saturday, Aug. 11, at Zion Hill Cemetery with his son-in-law, Kevin McDowell officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
