It seemed appropriate that Alan Sealls, chief meteorologist at WKRG-TV in Mobile, would be at Pollard-McCall School on Friday. With the extreme heat and hurricane possibilities looming, it was a good time to learn about the weather.
Sealls was invited to come to Pollard-McCall by Principal Hugh White on a suggestion by sixth grade teacher, Pam Coleman. He arrived on campus early Friday morning where he found an auditorium full of eager students.
According to WKRG-TV Web site, Sealls has more than 20 years of experience in television. He holds a bachelor's degree in meteorology from Cornell University and a masters degrees in meteorology Florida State University.
He has also earned certifications from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
