The Escambia County Commission renewed an agreement Monday that will continue to provide transportation services for both the Agency on Aging and clients of the Southwest Alabama Mental Health agency.
The commission also agreed to renew the contract with ECATS to provide transportation to and from doctor’s appointments and other areas to those clients served by the Southwest Alabama Mental Health agency.
In other business Monday, the commission also discussed the closing of Cowpen Creek Road in the Canoe community.
After discussion about detours and other limitations, the commission approved the closing of the road from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday during the school year.
