Mr. Marshall P. Craver Jr., 92, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at a veteran’s hospital in Bay Minette. He was a native of Roanoke and a resident of Brewton since 1944. He was a graduate of Atlanta Law School and of Gupton Jones Embalming College in Nashville, Tenn. He was an active member of the Brewton community until his health faded. He was a member of the Rotary Club for more than 50 years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Brewton.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Farish Craver of Brewton; a daughter, Ellen (Larry) Bailey of Brewton; a son, the Rev. Marshall P. (Jan) Craver III of Mobile; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Marshall P. Craver III officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Active pallbearers were Scotty Byrne, Ray Langham, Jim McCracken, Thad Moore Jr., Lee Otts, and Mike Godwin.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of contributions be made for the Presbyterian Church of Brewton or the Presbyterian Home for Children.
