Mr. Dennis Wayne Peavy, 52, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at a hospital in Gastonia. He was a native of Brewton and a resident of Bessemer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Carlton Peavy and Dora Lee Nelson Peavy; one brother; and two sisters,
He is survived by his fianc/, Christy Howard; a son, Cameron Peavy of Milton, Fla.; three daughters, Freace Peavy and Vanilla Dawg, both of Reno, Nev., and Shannon Reep of Cherryville, N.C.; a brother, Lloyd (Connie) Peavy of Dawson, Ill.; and two sisters, Virginia Peavy of Castleberry and Marie Peavy of Huntsville.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. at Greene Funeral Service-West Chapel in Gastonia, with the Rev. Mike Criswell officiating. Burial followed at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City. Pallbearers were Scotty Robinson, James Carter, Mike Bridges, Brad Denton, Jeff Day and Craig Lackey.
