Mrs. Martha Monroe Stockton, 96, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007. She was a native of Pollard, a former resident of Gulfport, Miss., a former resident of Boston for over 60 years, and a resident of Pollard. She was a member of St. Peter Baptist Church and attended school at Tuskegee Institute. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Stockton; her parents, Thomas and Virginia Monroe; and her brothers, George and Thomas Monroe.
She is survived by three nieces; two nephews; two special friends, Samuel and Catherine Wilson of Boston, Mass., and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at St. Peter Baptist Church in Pollard with the Rev. Allen Miller officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
