Byrne elected president of state association

Local Circuit Judge Bradley Byrne has been elected president of the Alabama Circuit Judge Association for the 2007-2008 term. Bryne is number 11 out of a list 144 circuit judges in the state.
Byrne graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1976 and was named Distinguished Athlete for that year. He was a member of ODK and a Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honorary member.
He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1979 and clerked for Circuit Judge, Joseph D. Phelps. He was a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society.
He joined the partnership of Garrett, Thompson and Hines in 1979 and stayed there from 1979 to 1986. He was in general practice in State and Federal Court, a member of Alabama and Florida Bar and was the prosecutor in the Atmore, Alabama Municipal Court.
He became a circuit judge since January 14, 1987. In that capacity he attended National Judicial College General Judicial Course, Drugs and the Courts course and numerous continuing education courses presented by the Alabama Judicial College. He also
