Mrs. Margie Jordan Smith, 65, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Alberta, a former resident of Mobile, and a long time resident of Brewton. She attended Divine Temple Church, graduated from Jefferson Davis Community College Nursing Program as an RN. She was a homemaker, known for her excellent cooking, and co-owner of C &M Quick Stop in Riverview.
She is survived by her parents, Henry D. and Gladys Jordan of Gretna, La.; her husband, Carl Smith of Riverview; two daughters, Melissa (Duncan) Smith of Brewton, and Melinda (Jerry) Bush of Red Level; one brother, Ronnie (Jamie) Jordan of Duluth, Ga.; a sister, Jeannie (Ernie) Dominick of Gretna; five grandchildren, Kristal (Jason) Lindsey, Jerinda (Andrew) Bush, Deric (Megan) Smith, Ethan (Anna) Bush and Irene (Tim) Martin; five great-grandchildren; other family members and many friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jasper Davis and the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
