Brewton native Kathy Jernigan has turned a story written for her nieces and nephews into a published children's book.
Jernigan will be in Escambia County later this month for a series of readings from “The Know-It-All Kitty and the Peanut Butter Factory.”
Illustrations from the book were made by Carole Backus.
Jernigan grew up in the Brewton and Flomaton areas.
