Mr. Robert Thomas Jerkins, 73, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, in a Pensacola Hospice Facility. He was a native of Range and had been a resident of Chicago, Ill., before returning to Conecuh County in 1992. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a pipefitter by trade. He was a member of Range Assembly of God and was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Robert Jerkins, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie M. Jerkins of Brewton; three sons, Thomas Robert Jerkins and Kenneth Jerkins, both of California, and Johnny Morgan of Brewton; two daughters, Judith Jerkins Hampton of Chicago, Ill., and Joyce Jerkins Kahn of Boise, Idaho; a brother, Roy L. Jerkins of Range; three sisters, Evelyn Jerkins Johnson and Louise Jerkins Palmer, both of Range, and Joyce Jerkins Turner of Pensacola; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Craver's Funeral Home, Sunday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 19, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Silcox officiating. Burial followed at Range Cemetery.
