Miller falls, Neal stays

T.R. Miller has dropped from class 4A region one in football to class 3A region one.
In basketball, the Tigers dropped to 3A area one from 4A area two.
T.R Miller, according to the reclassification numbers is the seventh largest school in 3A out of 69 schools with a student count of 285.55.
W.S. Neal is listed at number 57 out of 67 schools with a student count of 307.87. West Point is the largest 4A school at 410.65 and Ashville is the smallest at 294.95.
W.S. Neal stayed in 4A region one in football and is now in area one in basketball.
Every two years the Alabama High School Athletic Association reclassifies schools into different classes based on the school's enrollments based on the average attendance for 10th-12th graders and ninth-grade holdbacks.
T.R. Miller is now in a class with Bayside Academy who moved up from 2A, Calhoun, Central Hayneville, Choctaw County, and Cottage Hill who moved up from the AISA to the AHSAA, Luverne who was previously in 2A and Straughn.
W.S. Neal's region has Andalusia, B.C. Rain, Clarke County, Hillcrest, Jackson, Thomasville, and UMS-Wright.
Andalusia, Thomasville, UMS-Wright and Clarke County are the teams that are still in the playoff hunt this week.
