Downtown merchants are getting a jump on their holiday preview sale this time around.
Discount cards will be available at all participating downtown merchants and at the chamber of commerce office. Between now and the next holiday sale - scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 6 - customers can pick up a card and have it signed at all participating merchants. Cards must be signed by all businesses in order for customers to receive special merchandise or discounts.
Next week's holiday preview sale is the second of two that downtown businesses will hold to encourage Christmas shopping at home.
The first sale was a success, Breckenridge said.
Next week's sale, to be held from 4 to 8 p.m., will again feature special entertainment and food vendors, as well as special merchandise and discounts at all of the downtown stores.
