Jefferson Davis Community College students have worked to put smiles on 75 children's faces this Christmas.
The JDCC Student Government Association, under the sponsorship of Maurice Moore, student life director at JDCC, found sponsors for 75 children in the Brewton and Atmore area.
The Hope Place in Brewton and the Family Life Center in Atmore referred the children whose names were placed on the tree to the SGA, Moore said.
Angels on the trees ranged in age from newborn to 16 years, Moore said. The effort is dubbed as a community project for the SGA group.
Those who adopted angels were asked to spend a minimum of $25 on each child, Moore said.
The group also receives monetary contributions from organizations outside of the college community and uses those funds to shop for any angels not taken from the tree, Moore said.
