Mrs. Lela Mae Davis, 66, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007. She was a native of Escambia County and a resident of the Brewton area. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.J. (Dan) Davis Sr. and Elsie Davis.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Tony) Wells of Covington, Ga., two grandsons, Gary M. Freeman of Covington, and Gregory (Tammy) Freeman of Duluth, Ga.; two sisters, Catherine Jackson of California, and Lillian R. Savage; a brother-in-law, Sam Savage of Brewton; one sister-in-law, Hattie Davis of Brewton; four great-grandchildren; a newphew, Wiggins Washington of Pollard; an uncle, Hillary Culliver of Detroit, Mich.; one aunt, Annie D. Culliver of Brewton; and many other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at First St. Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Nehemiah Cooler officiating. Burial followed at Little Brooklyn Cemetery with Jones Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
