BMS Tigers get wins

The Brewton Middle School boys and girls teams posted wins over Repton Thursday and Earnest Ward on Monday as the girls improved their record to 7-1 and the boys improved to 6-2.
The Brewton Middle School girls continued their current six-game win streak Thursday night with a 22-11 win over Repton at Repton.
Taylor Guthrie and Jerrica Watson were the leading scorers for the Brewton girls as they both posted 6 points.
After both teams posted nine points at the half as the game was tied 9-9, the Lady Tigers posted 10 points in the third quarter as they held Repton to two points and scoreless in the fourth as they went for the 11-point win.
In the Monday win over Earnest Ward, the Tigers got 8 points from Taylor Guthrie as the Lady Tigers won 16-10.
The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday at home against Flomaton.
Game time is scheduled for a 5 p.m. tip-off.
In the boys 43-37 win, eight different Tigers scored as Brewton won 43-37.
Darrion Salter led the team with 12 points as Caleb Hubbard followed with 10 points.
The Tigers jumped out to a 19-8 halftime lead en route to a 36-25 win over Earnest Ward.
Darrion Salter led all scorers with 14 points.
The Tigers will be back in action on Thursday at home against Flomaton.
Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
