Charles Bradley Jr., a Brewton resident against whom charges of theft of property and services had been dropped earlier this year, died Monday at his home.
Bradley, a business owner and husband of former Alabama State University-Southern Normal campus director Dr. Margaret Breland Bradley, had been indicted in January of charges he and his wife used materials from the ASU campus in Brewton for work on their home and private business.
But those charges were dismissed earlier this year.
Mrs. Bradley's attorney, Bill Stokes, said he was shocked and saddened by the news.
Ethics charges remain pending against Mrs. Bradley.
Stokes said he is not sure how Mr. Bradley's death will affect her case, if at all.
