BREAKING NEWS: Drug task force arrests two, searches for suspects in marijuana case

Drug task force agents and Flomaton police officers have arrested two Flomaton men on marijuana charges.
The charges came about after agents and officers executed a search warrant at 2429 Railroad St. in Flomaton.
During the search agents recovered several bags of marijuana from the residence, authorities said.
Joseph Rodrigus Lowe and Kenneather Shavelle Davison were arrested and transported to the Escambia County Detention Center and charged with the following:
— JOSEPH RODERIGUS LOWE, 35, 2429 Railroad St., Flomaton, charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree
— KENNEATHER SHAVELLE DAVISON, 21, 2429 Railroad St., Flomaton, charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, first degree.
Agents are also looking for suspects in a separate incident in which drugs were found in an Escambia County park.
Also on Saturday, Dec. 8, agents with the 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force were contacted by the Little River State Park as to a duffel bag being found.
The duffel bag was found lying beside a garbage can that contained 18 bags of Marihuana. The bag was taken into custody by an agent with the Drug Task Force and is in the process of being tested for fingerprints.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is comprised of the following law enforcement agencies: Escambia County Sheriff's Department, Atmore Police Department, East Brewton Police Department, Brewton Police Department, Flomaton Police Department, Escambia County District Attorney's Office, Poarch Police Department and the Escambia County Commission.
The Task Force receives 50 percent of its funding from a grant funded by the Bureau of Justice Affairs Division of the United States Department of Justice and which is administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs.
The remainder of the funding is provided by the Escambia County Sheriff's Department, Atmore Police Department, Brewton Police Department and the Escambia County District Attorney's Office.
