County tournament to start Thursday

Basketball fans in the Brewton area as well as the rest of the county will get their fill of area basketball action this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
W.S. Neal High School's Eagles will play host to the Escambia County Tournament this week.
Action will begin Thursday when the Escambia County High School girls and the T.R. Miller girls square off in a 3:30 tip.
The Escambia County High School boys and Miller boys will hook up in a 5:00 tip, as Neal and Flomaton girls tangle at 6:30 with the boys tangling at 8 p.m. Thursday night.
On Friday, T.R. Miller girls and boys will tangle at 3:30 and 5 p.m. respectively as Neal and Atmore take the court in a 6:30 girls tip and an 8 p.m. boys game.
On Saturday, Escambia County and Flomaton will take court with the girls tipping at 3:30 and the boys at 5 p.m.
W.S. Neal and T.R. Miller girls and boys will close out the tournament at 6:30 with girl's action and 8 p.m. boys' action.
W.S. Neal girls will be coming into tournament play with a 4-4 record while the boys have a 2-6 record.
T.R. Miller girls have a 1-2 record while the boys are 1-1.
Escambia County girls won the tournament last year defeating T.R. Miller 49-39 while the T.R. Miller boys returned the favor by beating Escambia County 55-44 earning them their first county tournament win since 2002.
