NMS falls to ECMS during matchup

The W.S. Neal Middle School boys fell to 3-5 Thursday with a 39-27 loss to Escambia County Middle School.
W.S. Neal fell behind early in the first quarter 16-8 and then 27-12 at the half.
W.S. Neal out scored Escambia County 15-12 in the last two quarters, but the damage had already been done as Escambia County went on for the 12-point win.
T.J. Davis led the Eagles with 8 points.
W.S. Neal was scheduled to take on Carver Tuesday and will conclude their season with a home game against Jay.
Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the W.S. Neal Middle School gym.
Thursday's game against Escambia County Middle School was a long game for the W.S. Neal Middle School Lady Eagles. The team suffered their sixth straight loss 35-5.
After falling behind early in the game and not scoring a point in the first as Escambia County took a 12-0 first quarter lead.
W.S. Neal (1-7) got on the board in the second quarter, but that would be the only points in the game for the Lady Eagles as they went scoreless in the third and fourth quarters. Escambia County held an 18-5 lead at the half and went on to score 17 second half points to the Eagles zero.
The Lady Eagles were scheduled to take on Carver Tuesday and will finish out their schedule with a home game against Jay. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the W.S. Neal Middle School gym.
