The East Brewton City Council is considering a purchase of new diesel tanks for the city.
The city is planning to upgrade existing storage facilities for fuel used by machinery and trucks in daily operations.
City officials are going through an evaluation process to determine the cost effectiveness of installing the new tanks.
At a previous meeting of the council, an agreement was made between the Escambia County Board of Education and the city for mutual use of tennis courts located at R.T. Johnson Park on Williamson Street.
The council unanimously agreed to give city employees a one-time pay raise in the form of a bonus for Christmas. The employees will also be given their choice of a ham or turkey as part of a Christmas bonus package.
