John David Richburg

Mr. John David Richburg, 60, of Florida Street in East Brewton died Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 in a Montgomery medical facility following a brief illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of the Brewton Church of Christ, attended Hoomesville Church of Christ, was a past member of the Appleton Fire Department and past president of Escambia County Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his mother, Vera Ryals Richburg; his wife, Sandra Hooks Richburg of East Brewton; one son, David Ray Richburg of Brewton; two daughters, Janet Lynn Richburg of East Brewton and Tracey Blocker of Germany; three step-sons, Ronnie Phillips of Newellton, La., Sam Phillips of Brewton and Jonathan (Geneva) Phillips of Berrydale, Fla., two sisters, Anetta Jernigan of Perdido Key, Fla. and Vera Richburg McDaniel; nine grandsons and one granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Clifford Dixon officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Hoomesville Cemetery.
