Lady Eagles even season with win over McKenzie

In an unusually high scoring game for a girl's game, both the McKenzie Tigers and the W.S. Neal Lady Eagles broke the half-century mark and combined for 123 total points.
The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles evened up their record at 6-6 Monday night when they took a 65-58 game over the Tigers in McKenzie.
W.S. Neal's Freda Folmar stayed in her scoring mode as she posted 28 points in the game to lead all scorers.
The Lady Eagles had two others in double figures as Katie Elliott had 15 points and Rachel Davis posted 14 points in the game.
After leading by one point at 16-15 at the end of the first quarter, W.S. Neal outscored McKenzie 17-10 in the second quarter to take a 33-25 lead at the half.
The third quarter saw the most points as both teams combined for 39 points as Neal took a 20-19 scoring advantage in the quarter to hold a 53-44 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
McKenzie outscored the Lady Eagles in the fourth, but W.S. Neal had already done the damage as they held on for the seven-point win.
W.S. Neal will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Pleasant Home for a 6 p.m. tip.
