Mrs. Ruthie Mae White Summerlin, 88, of Wolf Log Road, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Summerlin; two sons, Glendal and J.C. Summerlin; and two grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, James R. (Sue) Summerlin of Mobile, and Gladden (Nina) Summerlin of Cutoff, La.; two daughters, Annette (Robert) McGhee of Saraland, and Jeanice (Sidney) Boutwell of Flomaton; one brother, Thomas White of Cantonment, Fla.; two sisters, Eula Ree Mize of Flomaton, and Martha White of Atmore; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 12 until 2 p.m. service.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Boutwell officiating. Burial will follow at Canaan Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
