W.S. Neal B team earns win

The W.S. Neal B team picked up their second win in as many games as they defeated McKenzie Monday night in McKenzie.
W.S. Neal (4-5) had seven different players score in the game as Colby McCorvey led the Eagles with 6 points.
After falling behind early in the first 8-7 and trailing 18-13 at the half, the W.S. Neal Eagles defense played strong in the second half especially in the third quarter allowing only one point while scoring six to tie the game at 19-19 entering the third quarter.
After a defensive struggle in the fourth quarter that only saw nine points total, W.S. Neal took the upper hand in the quarter that allowed them to take a 24-23 win.
W.S. Neal will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Pleasant Home for a 4:30 p.m. tip.
The Pleasant Home game on Friday and the McKenzie game Monday were late additions to the W.S. Neal Eagle schedule.
The games were scheduled to allow for additional play in the absence of a tournament schedule.
The Eagles will finish up play against Pleasant Home on Friday before taking off for Christmas break.
The Eagles will come back after the first of the year and travel to Andalusia to take on the Bulldogs with a 4:30 p.m. tip.
