Frances Kuykendall Taylor

Mrs. Frances Kuykendall Taylor, 87, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for 43 years, serving on many committees. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by the FBI during World War II. She was a poll worker for Pike County and worked as a legal researcher more than 40 years at Pike County Courthouse. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Owen Clarence Taylor, a son, Michael David Taylor, a brother, Andrew J. Kuykendall Jr. and her parents, Andrew J. and Teressa Willis Kuykendall.
She is survived by her daughter, Paulette (James) Key of Troy; a son, Dale (Peggy) Taylor of Troy; a daughter-in-law, Betsey Taylor Rupert; of Lynchburg; both of Lynchburg, Va.; a brother, Sam Kuykendall Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren, Dr. Mary Michael (Rich) Schweiker of Richmond, Va., Blake Taylor (Stephen) Royer, Brook Taylor (Jay) Culclasure of Greenville, S.C., Jim (Jennifer) Key and David Taylor, both of Birmingham, Brian (Donna) Key of Montgomery, Stewart Taylor and Sarah Taylor, both of Troy; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Walter officiating. Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Park.
