Tolley Jackson Smith Jr., 68, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, in Flomaton. He was a native of Ashland, a former resident of Mobile and a resident of Flomaton since 1999. He was an employee with Alabama Drydock and Shipping and Atlantic Marine for the past 46 years, and attended Flomaton First Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Abbie L. Smith of Flomaton; four sons, Tolley J. Smith III of Mobile, Scottie Smith of Goodway, and Jason N. Smith and Eric J. Smith, both of Flomaton; five daughters, April Caraway of Booneville, Angel Caraway of Huxford, Genise Coleman Caraway of Goodway, and Makayla Smith and Jasmine Smith, both of Flomaton, 17 grandchildren; and five sisters, Sara Dowden of Louisiana, Oliva Wauhop and Alice Wuensche, both of Houston, Texas, Joann Carnley of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Avie Sasser of Mobile.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Evangelista officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Tommy Macks Sr., Tommy Macks Jr., Tommy Morris, Corey Odom, Michael Smith and J. R. Weaver.
