Mrs. Barbara Rebecca Johnson, 60, of Keego Road, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Silver Hill and a life long resident of Brewton. She was of the Baptist faith, a former member of Eastern Star and retired from Food Fair.
She is survived by her husband, James Johnson of Brewton; a son, Jimmy (Dana) Johnson of Birmingham; a daughter, Stephanie Ramos of Brewton; her mother, Sylvia Whitker Ray; three sisters, Sharon Thompson of Pride, La.; and Patti Thompson and Donna Thompson, both of Brewton; four brothers, Foy Ray Jr. of East Brewton, Roy Ray of Lynn, Ind., Michael Ray of Hendersonville, N.C., and Allen Ray of Phenix City; four grandchildren, Derek Ramos, Owen Johnson, Maria Ramos and Selena Ramos; one great-grandchild, Derek Ramos Jr.; and 61 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
