C. Ray Cox

Mr. C. Ray Cox, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007. He was a native of Brewton and a graduate of T.R. Miller High School.
He was an active member of the Lakewood United Methodist Church for 44 years. He was a 1957 Auburn University graduate in industrial engineering and he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal. He was preceded in death by his parents, M. Clinton Cox and Ruth Scott Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kay Ford Cox; two sons, Mike (Darby) Cox of Cookeville, Tenn., and Steve (Vickie) Cox of Snellville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jessica Cox and Brent Cox of Cookeville, and Tori Cox of Snellville.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Reeder and the Rev. Jeff Havens officiating.
Burial followed at Maple Hill Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville directing.
