Mrs. Fannie Sue Davis, 96, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008. She was a native of Conecuh County and a resident of Brewton. She was an active member of Second St. John Baptist Church and a member of the Jackson Chapter 630 Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Willie D. Davis; a daughter, Ruthie Lee Davis Jones; and a son, John D. Davis.
She is survived by a step-daughter, Ceola Jackson; nine grandchildren, Evelyn Jean Sims, Marvin Wayne (Novella) Davis Sr., John (Tracy) Lovelace, Patricia (Wayne) Farrish, Shirley (George) Watson, Alice (Daryel) Bradley, Robert (Janet) Jones III, Mary (Carl) Bass, and Melinda Jackson; 21 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. at Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Dailey officiating. Burial followed at Second St. John Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
