Mr. Jerome Thomas, 49, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008. He was a native of Evergreen and a resident of East Brewton.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Wilodean Thomas of East Brewton; his adopted mother, Lula D. Philyaw of Castleberry; four brothers, Ballard Willliams (Cleo) of Orangeburg, S.C., Willie Calvin Williams of Mobile, Earl (Latricia) McCreary of Hollis, N.Y., and Barnie William McCreary of N.Y.; four sisters, Nora Bell Williams of Brooklyn, N.Y., Gene Debra Johnson of Brewton, Mary Alice (Larry) Harris and Priscilla Brown, both of Evergreen; his mother-in-law, Sallie King of Brewton, five sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law, and a host of other family and friends, including Madeline Jones and her children.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Second Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Cartez Hall officiating and eulogist, the Rev. Robert Cheatham. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
