Mr. Nealy McCraney, 71, of Mayo Trail in Crestview, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at a Fort Walton Beach health care facility after an extended illness. He was a native of Alaflora and a former resident of Milton before moving to Crestview five years ago. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two sons, Nealy Ray “Pee Wee” (Brenda) McCraney of Troy, and James Irvin McCraney of Kuwait; three daughters, Rebecca April McCraney of Crestview, and Donna (Wayne) Glass and Patsy Shiver, both of East Pointe, Fla., a brother, Ernest Lee (Allene) McCraney of Florala; a sister, Julia Jackson and friend, Kenneth Dukes of Florala; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Rock Creek Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Rick Hayes officiating. Burial followed in Rock Creek Assembly of God Church cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
