Mrs. Devona Ann Hacker Jackson, 35, of Ridge Road, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native of Fort Rucker and a long-time resident of Brewton. She was a caretaker in the healthcare industry and was a member of the May Creek Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, George Hacker.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Dawkins Hacker of Brewton; a daughter, Molly Jackson of Range; two brothers, Stephen Hacker of Milton, Fla., and Jeffrey Hacker of Brewton; and several nephews, nieces, and other family members.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Phillips officiating. Burial followed at May Creek Methodist Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
