Mr. Joseph L. Hart, 73, of Fairview Circle, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Andalusia, and a former resident of Tennessee, before moving to Brewton 35 years ago. He was a retired inspector with the L&N Railroad and was a member of Brewton Pentecostal Holiness Church. He had served in the U.S. Marines and was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Hart.
He is survived by his wife, Wylmogene Salter Hart of Brewton; a son, Jonny (Angie) Hart of Brewton; two daughters, Cheri Marie (Jim) Hlubek and Angela (Paul) Scott, both of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Eugene (Carolyn) Hart of Tennessee, and Gerald (Sherri) Hart of Houston, Texas; a sister, Rebecca (George) Miller of Houston; two grandchildren, Mary Catherine Hart and Brandon Bair; and a brother-in-law, Fred (Delaine} Salter.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at the Brewton Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Byrnes Pitts officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
