Have you ever dreamed of being a fairy godmother? Or maybe you would rather be a great wizard. If that sounds interesting, you may be just what the Missoula Children's Theatre producers are hoping to find Monday.
Children in grades kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to audition for approximately 50 roles that will make up the cast of Cinderella.
Auditions for roles in the production will be held Monday beginning at 3:30 p.m. in the Woodfin Patterson Auditorium on the campus of Jefferson Davis Community College, said Alecia Glaize, a member of the Brewton Council of the Arts, which is sponsoring the production.
The announcement of roles awarded will be made at 5:30 p.m. with some players beginning rehearsals immediately, Glaize said.
Approximately 50 students will be cast in the roles for the production by the Missoula Children's Theatre group. The organization will provide necessary equipment to present the play, Glaize said.
The MCT group will provide costuming for all parts in the play, Glaize said,
Following an intensive week of rehearsals, local actors and actresses will take the stage on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. to go public with their acting abilities.
For Brewton Council of the Arts members holding season tickets, the cost of admission is included in the pass.
Those who wish to purchase an event ticket may do so at the door.
Individual tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students. For additional ticket information, call 867-2747.
