Baseball gets win

After a double-header loss to Jones Community College last week, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks responded on Saturday with a 7-4 win over Jefferson State Community College.
With the win, the Warhawks improved to 3-3 on the year.
Saturday's win was the total package for the Warhawks as they combined great pitching by starter Joshua Presley and offensive production.
Presley went 7.1 innings allowing 7 hits, 1 run, 1 walk and 8 strikeouts.
Bryant Hall and Cody Sanderson led the Warhawks with two RBIs each as Ben Blodgette, Allen Thompson, and Clay Simpson each provided one each.
Cordaro Lindsey had a great day at the plate as he went 3-for-5 on the day with two runs scored. Justin Reeves scored twice for the Warhawks in the win.
JDCC will be back in action on Wednesday when they take on PJC in Pensacola at 3 p.m.
The Warhawks will be back in action at home on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. when they take on Calhoun in a 9-inning contest.
