Police cars and Special Response Team vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, helicopters and other emergency response equipment will engulf the campus of Brewton Middle School Friday.
Hollywood isn't filming its latest movie at the school. The storm of law enforcement and safety officials that will converge onto school grounds is an exercise drill for the various emergency response teams in the Brewton area.
The drill will help provide training for personnel who may be required to respond to a variety of emergency situations, McGougin said.
The drill planned for later this week will give police officers, firefighters, paramedics and members of the Special Response Team a chance to see first hand how to handle dangerous situations.
Although similar drills have been held around the area over the past several months, this exercise will be the first held on a school campus when classes are in session, McGougin said.
Parents of students at Brewton Middle School and residents in the area surrounding the school should be aware of the activity planned, McGougin said.
No specific time for the drill has been announced.
